TRAVELLING WITH FAMILY
TRAVELLING WITH KIDS CAN BE DIFFICULT BUT TAKE OUR advice and provide the best holiday experience for your children and for yourselves.
Thai people are very children-friendly. On crowded buses and public transport, adults will always stand to let the children sit and in restaurants and hotels, the staff will happily set aside their work to play with a child. There are a number of ways to have fun, be safe and create many precious memories with your children in Thailand.
Activities
When travelling to Thailand, the best and most popular destination for a family holiday is the beaches on Thailand's many stunning islands. The waters of these islands are great for beginner swimmers and are also beautifully blue and crystal clear. For older kids, snorkelling and fish spotting are often great and fun activities to partake in.
Children will love Thailand's many nature parks and farms such as the crocodile farms, monkey forests and shows and the tiger zoos. The elephant sanctuaries and the animal encounters though, are always the favourite. And if your child is a little older, again, there are still many options to choose from. Try jungle trekking tours, elephant rides, bamboo rafting, water sports and waterfall tours.

Kid-Friendly Thai Food
As already known, Thai food is known for its sweet, sour and of course, spicy flavours. But, there are also endless other delicious meals that are not spicy and great for the kids. Actually, Thai children don't even start eating spicy food until primary school, so it won't be a surprise to the local Thais if your children are not a big fan of a bit of chilli either. Don't be afraid to ask restaurant or hotel staff of their special kids' meals as they will have many great recommendations for you.

Younger Children: Babies and Toddlers
Babies and toddlers will also love Thailand. The Thai people are very warm hearted and kind and will provide the best of your needs. In hotels, cots are always available by request and high chairs are usually available in most resort areas. Though, car seats are not widely used in Thailand and will be difficult to get. Pretty much every market and 7-Eleven will sell nappies (diapers) which will have you covered! A compact, easy-to-carry umbrella stroller is advised as it will prove to be very useful while travelling.
